Eurographics Symposium on Virtual Environments 2004

June 8-9th, 2004

Grenoble, France

Tenth Eurographics Workshop on Virtual Environments
In Cooperation with ACM Siggraph (agreement pending)

Aims and Scope of the Symposium

We invite you to participate in the Eurographics Symposium on Virtual Environments. This event is the successor of the successful Eurographics Workshops on Virtual Environments held in the previous nine years. Various reasons made a name-change appropriate, but the Symposium will be similar to the past Virtual Environments Workshops in format and content. It will be an international forum for the exchange of experience and knowledge among researchers and developers concerned with virtual environments and virtual reality. Original, unpublished papers reporting research contributions,  practice and experience, or novel applications, from all areas of virtual environments, are invited.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to

· Immersive projection technologies
· Output devices, haptics, sound in VR.
· 3D input devices and interaction techniques for VR
· Human factors and multimodal input for VR
· VR systems development
· Collaborative and distributed VR
· Cognition and VR
· Augmented/mixed reality
· Scientific visualization in VR
· VR applications

Symposium Venue and Format

The event will be held in Grenoble. The event is open to all those with an interest in virtual environments. Students, in particular, are encouraged to participate.
