Aims and Scope of the Symposium We invite you to participate in the Eurographics
Symposium on Virtual Environments. This event is the successor of the successful
Eurographics Workshops on Virtual Environments held in the previous nine
years. Various reasons made a name-change appropriate, but the Symposium
will be similar to the past Virtual Environments Workshops in format and
content. It will be an international forum for the exchange of experience
and knowledge among researchers and developers concerned with virtual environments
and virtual reality. Original, unpublished papers reporting research contributions,
practice and experience, or novel applications, from all areas of virtual
environments, are invited.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to · Immersive projection technologies
The event will be held in Grenoble. The event
is open to all those with an interest in virtual environments. Students,
in particular, are encouraged to participate. The two day symposium will
be organized as an assembly of plenary presentations. Invited presentations
and posters presenting labs activities, applications or VE projects, will
be included. The EGVE Symposium will be followed by the Eurographics
Symposium on Parallel Graphics and Visualization that will take place
on June 10-11, 2004 at the same location.
