Travel, Venue and Accomodation

The Symposium will be hosted by the INRIA Rhône-Alpes Research Unit. It is located near the small city of Montbonnot, 10 km north-east of Grenoble, the Capital of the French Alps and an important information technology center.

We advice conference attendees to book hotels downtown Grenoble. We will accommodate a bus to pick-up conference attendees downtown Grenoble in the morning and to bring them back after the last session (The bus will leave terminal 20 or 21 or 22 of the bus station, just next to Grenoble train station, at 9:45 on Tuesday June 8th and at 8:00 on Wednesday June 9th. It will leave INRIA at 18:15 on Tuesday afternoon and at 18:00 on Wednesday afternoon. An EGVE'04 poster will be displayed on the bus). The INRIA is poorly served with public transportations and very few hotels are located nearby.

For hotel lists, maps, transportation information to come to Grenoble and to the INRIA please check the INRIA web site.

The Grenoble Tourist Office has also a very good web site with hotel list, maps, transportation information, videos, tourist activities, night life, etc.

Grenoble is a great place for outdoor activities. It is surrounded by several natural parks. So if you plan to stay some extra days, bring your hiking shoes. June is a perfect period for exploring the Alps.
